LOL don't worry, I had to edit mine massively as well. Did a first time entirely and realised I was speaking at snail speed wiht lots of "well..", "ummm", "you know..." and almost kept nothing of this first one. Plus, if you want to timeline what you say to the images, you have to !
So don't feel bad ! I just felt less stupid by realising I was not alone in this :D

It's definitely lots of fun to do, and awesome to listen to others as well ! YAY for more !

Haha, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. It sucks when you realise you're nowhere as eloquent as you thought you were.

Well, I already knew that but it sucks to be faced with it !

*sigh* It's one of those things that you really have to be on the ball for right from the outset. If you don't clock 1,667 words a day, then there's no way of catching up after three or four days.

Brad's vid just won't play smoothly for me no matter what I do. *sigh* I'm going to be wrestling with my computer tonight. I think the poor thing is on its last legs.

Ooh, I'd love a commentary on New Dawn Fades! Doooo it! I wholeheartedly endorse this new trend - it's really cool to get a peek behind the scenes. :D

That sucks! Sorry to hear about all your trouble with your computer, I know it's not the first time. (Are you still talking about your laptop, or do you have a separate laptop and PC?)

I think commentaries are generally more interesting in terms of thinky rather than tech. Whenever I watch DVD commentaries (especially films of a thinky nature) I always get quite frustrated when the commentator goes off on irrelevant anecdotes or focus too much on tech or things that are obvious even without commentary. I wanna know the ideas, dammit.

Yup, still my laptop. It's been running slower ever since I sent it off to have my keyboard fixed (grr, meddling tech guys). With luck I'll be able to negotiate a new one out of my parents next year. Or hey, even buy one myself! I'll actually have money. Odd.

Yeah commentary on the obvious is not much fun to listen to. But you didn't do that, so I stand by my "Doooo it!" And make Brad post one too.

I hear Brad's thinking of doing one for LDG, which, OMG.

Yay for money! So how's the whole job hunting process going? Any standouts? When do offers come down?

Who doesn't like talking about themselves?

*raises hand*

Seriously, I'd rather have my teeth drilled (says the introvert). *g*

Really?! That's extremely interesting. I find that generally even introverts like talking about themselves, if only semi-directly. As in, instead of "yesterday I went out and got piss drunk etc etc", they would be more inclined to talk about ideas and such. Except to me that's "talking about yourself" as well, because you're talking about your ideas and your theories and your takes on various things.

Interesting, because discussing/sharing ideas and opinions about other stuff doesn't feel like the same thing as talking about me. *g*

But they are *your* opinions and ideas, aren't they? And if someone acts as though they don't care about them, or if they deny everything you say vehemently, then it often feels like you've suffered a personal wrong. Well, that's how I feel anyway. :)

When I did mine I did it in a continuous take on my cell phone. I had to stop halfway through because someone called me, then I had to pee when I realized I could record the second half with my mp3 player. I transferred them both to my computer and edited parts out, like when I repeated the same thing twice *smacks head* and the part where I sneezed.

I'm glad my way to procrasinate any actual vidding has become a trend. :)

Yours sounded like it was done in one take. You are very eloquent! I would have liked to hear you sneeze. :D I think commentaries are more interesting with random crap like that being left in...

You've always been a trendsetter, whether you know it or not. :D But this has really taken off in a big way, hasn't it? You should be very proud.

Someone once said I sneeze like a Pokémon. I think I'll leave that and the part where I blew my nose on the eidting floor. :)

I was going to edit out the part where I said "flist" and then commented on how it was weird to say it aloud.

One day young vidders in the future will come across our dusty audio commentaries on the interweb and think, "what loser started this fad?"
