Went to see Jarhead today. It was an early afternoon showing, and the movie's been on for a while already, so I was the only one in the cinema, hee.

I watched Jarhead, but I had different expectations going in, so it wasn't as good as it could've been. I had in mind an action movie, not a drama. Though I did enjoy the central message and the visuals especially. The encounter with the Vietnam vet was possibly one of the most poignant moments in the film for me. I wish I had gone in knowing it was going to be a drama, but the previews never told me that.

Oh, but American Beauty? That movie sticks. I still remember it, though I've never watched it that much. I don't really need to.

Expectations often end up altering an experience, which is pretty unfortunate.

Hee, I just saw a preview for next week's Ghost Whisperer, and SIMON is on it!!! *happy dance*

It's a show starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, who can talk to ghosts and help them do whatever they need to in order to "cross over". Sean Maher plays the dead guy in the coming episode. I'm so excited! Am going to try and record it on my DVD recorder, and then I'll have new and interesting footage to play around with Firefly vidding. :D
