I feel so lame because when I heard they were making a THE RUNAWAYS movie, I thought it was based on the comic. How have I lived 26 years and never heard of The Runaways? I have heard of Joan Jett though.

I think they were still technically before your time. I had never heard of them until I heard of this movie, which I've known about for a long time because I'm practically in love with Kristen Stewart and keep up with KStew news.

The difference in the names is that the comic is "Runaways", no "the", and the band is "The Runaways". Though of course it sounds weird to always say "The Runaways".
