First, don't forget that this month is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

In my Intro to Psychology class, everyone chooses a book to critique and relate it to psych. Speak was on the list of recommendations, but I couldn't choose that because I've already read it thousands of times. So I went with Just Listen by Sarah Dessen, because I'd heard it ( Read more... )

I loved this book. Actually, with a few exceptions, I adore most of Sarah Dessen. But I think this was the book I ended up reading all in one afternoon.

I loved the balance of angst and humor and her love interest - he was fantastic - they played off each other awesomely, and I adored when the scene where he's telling how he went out and punched Will.

This is making me want to reread.

Just Listen is so far the only Sarah Dessen book I've read, but now I really want to read more. What are those exceptions?

I seriously wanted to hug Owen after he punched Will. And I agree, Owen and Annabel worked very well together. I usually wince when I can see the two friends falling for each other, but not for these two.

Ummm, I really didn't like That Summer and the one with the girl named Remy (blanking on the title).

But I ADORED The Truth About Forever and Keeping The Moon.
