I've gone on a period drama craze! I don't know why, but I decided to watch BBC's Jane Eyre and I loved it so much, I looked for another mini series to watch, and before you know it, it became a fest!
Wow you've been on a big costume drama journey, haven't you? XD
RE: Jane Eyre. Toby Stephens was iresistably hot, wasn't he? ^_^;; Northanger Abbey was too short I agree but I've not read the book yet to form a proper analysis nor have I seen the early 80s version to really make comparisons XD They did a Jane Austen season over here on ITV and showed three new adaptations - Mansfield Park, Persuasion and Northanger Abbey. Poor Mansfield Park was the weakest link :/ but Northanger Abbey made up for the rather sombre feel out of these three. With Persuasion, I couldn't stop thinking "OMG creepy Giles" when it came to Anthony Stewart Head as Mr Elliot though. How weird. Also you're right about Rupert Penry-Jones. He is handsome no doubt though was so cold as Wentworth and he never even wore the soldier uniform like Ciaran Hinds did in the 1995 version. It was difficult to warm up to him.
Absolutely <3 North and South too. I even bought the DVDs to watch over and over again, esp the train kiss in the last episode. That's how

Toby Stephens WAS hot. I love the way he speaks. LOL. He has just the right accent.
I heard about how bad Mansfield Park was. So now I'm a bit reluctant to watch it. Though I'm wanting to watch the 95 Persuasion now.
And yes, I was awaiting all the scenes with Edward Ferrars in it. That scene in the room with Elinor and him, where he asked her why she didn't think badly of him when she found out he was engaged, I was just marveling over how blue his eyes were. xD
Uwahh, I miss your posts here ^^ Busy in college? Holidays started for you? How's Taylor's now? Lol.. I think Inti's building next door is near completion already..
Haha, somehow I don't have much interest in period dramas.. Good reviews nevertheless (:
Oh oh, I am currently watching Coffee Prince.. keke. So far so good.. I'm at epi 13
Yup, I have holidays until this Sunday. Taylor's is good, LOL, looks the same to me. I've seen a few of our assuntarians around. Yea, Inti's building looks almost completed already, it's so tall and has lots of windows.
Wahh, same =( So short huh.. Lol! Taylor's should be good since business is booming. Few assuntarians in the new intake? Did they say hi? Hehh, Inti's taller than Taylor's now.
Yeah I will try when I have so many other good dramas to watch at the same time. lol. Have you watched Ushi yet?
