It's the best, best show in the whole entire universe. It will make you believe in democracy, and that people actually care about things, and that people can change the world, even when the world doesn't want to change. Even when there are a million things in the way, there's still a reason to keep fighting. Oh, man, I'll start crying about it. It makes me all mushy and Josh Lyman should be my husband. I was watching re-runs of The Office (S5) yesterday...do you watch it, btw? There's a reference to TWW right at the season opener and it reminded me of you....and now I see this post!!!

It's such a sad thing, isn't it, that all tv shows, almost w/out exception go through this Excellent, very good, tolerable, absolutely shitty, lots of backtracking and finally a hasty "let's tie this all up with the least pain" cycle of seasons...
But like you said, I'd take the occasional bout of inspired genius over a steadily average, or even worse, no tv at all.
