#5298 - anticipating something happening doesn't make it any easier when it finally happens

after almost 4 years in a relationship, i've forgotten what it's like to be single. cynicalscribe and i broke up this past sunday afternoon, and all i keep thinking about are little random moments in time that stick in my head.

There is little that I can add. There is nothing that I can do to assuage those feelings that you have. You clearly care about her and being unable to help her has to hurt. Others care about you and wish that we could you now but this is something that only you can work through.

thanks john… i know that writing this post definitely helped me come to grips with it, and it's the sort of thing that'll likely be best in the long run. it's just that short run that's tough.

thanks man. yeah, we kept it pretty much low key and several folks during the time we were together would ask me if we were an item or not, haha. and things are likely to be awkward for a few weeks / a month or two, but yeah, it really was the best thing to do before we might start to get really frustrated with each other.

haha, and yes, it's either got to be butterfly collar shirts and tom jones, or matching white tuxedos and that "loose shoes" song, bahahaha…
