i got this feeling that they're gonna come back for more

I really hate the time leading up to my period. It is, quite possibly, the worst. I can deal with the bleeding and the cramps and feeling gross, no problem. But I absolutely loathe having to deal with the mood swings and being all off-kilter with my personality and my emotions. It's very distressing, even if I'm aware my period is coming and even ( Read more... )

I was surprised by how much I liked Eccleston, because I hadn't been expecting to. I'm still chugging my way through series two, and I hate Rose. I wish she would just go away. I don't even want her to stop whining, just to go away. Thankfully, I'm pretty sure she does eventually.

I hadn't known much about Eccleston because, well, tumblr is a orgy festival of Tennant and Smith.

Did you dislike Rose from the get-go? I'm trying to figure out if she ends up with some bizarre personality change or something because, sure, she's a bit chav-vy, but she seems pretty typical for a nineteen year old girl, all things considered.

She's nineteen? D: Ew.

I don't know when I realized I didn't like her, if it was immediate or what. Certainly by the end of that series. The first episode with Tennant helped me cement just what it is I don't like about her: she's completely helpless and she's a severe idiot. She starts breaking out of that just a bit in around where I'm watching now, but I still don't like her because she makes googly eyes at the Doctor. :| Homey don't play that.

She's nineteen in Eccleston's run. It's mentioned in the Dalek episode (which is the only reason I remember it, because I just watched that one).

I thought the whole ~love~ thing with them happened a bit quickly, but I'm mostly suspending my disbelief because it's Doctor Who, for crissakes. I can see Rose crushing on the Doctor pretty easily, though, being her age and everything. I'm also reminding myself that my first impressions on everything in a series usually changes on re-watching (I hate a few characters in Supernatural that were, of course, supposed to be hated, but on re-watchings, I understood where they were coming from and they become favorites).

I haven't found her too helpless yet (specifically in the first episode, where she saves everyone at the end). She's seemed relatively competent, but it's still early, things could change.
