Well, admittedly, I think Poe was called out because she was furry AND involved with a canon character in a television show. Out of context, unfamiliar with our game/story/shenanigans would assume: furry OC, human Canon. So I totally get that.
Your OCs are all really well-rounded in my opinion. They all seem like normal, real people you could meet.
ahh i'm glad you think so :P i feel like nobody else is able to pick up on their characterizations at all, because i never really go on about them, so it's really good to know that some of it comes across. i do try to make my OCs (specifically anthro ones) "normal" people. T^T;
I think the issue with anthro characters is that (regardless of if you're in the fandom or not - it seems prevalent outside of the fandom as well and in other media with anthropomorphic animals) anyone who doesn't actually KNOW about the character defaults to assuming their personality/traits are that of the animal they're based on
