At first I brushed off the statement, attributing it to the make and model of the car you drive; but it wasn't until I actually got in my car and took a reflective look at it did the statement actually hit home.  Instead of hopping in the car and immediately taking off, I took a quick glance around, pondering all the 'possessions' that were strewn ( Read more... )

I understand how work can unfortunately, start to feel like it defines you in some way. I struggle with that alllll the time.

It's a testament to the different characters/stages you go through in life, at point A I was this person, and at point B I was this.

I'd like to think changes in people aren't that severe. I like to think that we're constantly evolving, even if we feel like we're stagnating. Somehow, things inside and/or around us, are always changing, whether or not we see instant change.

P.s. seems like you'd be a good person for good book recommendations.

It's so true, you know? Like it takes one simple little thing to get you to realize how much you've changed...sometimes for the good, sometimes for the bad. It just makes you see how quickly things can go by and you don't even realize them until they've already happened.
