I don't get it. A poem's a poem. You can't understand it because you'll never know what the poet was thinking. Great. So what are you supposed to say?

I still have to study for history and algebra, too. What a mess.

Make stuff up? Just because the words mean one thing to the poet, doesn't mean they can't mean another thing to you, right?

I doubt there's a right and wrong to it so long as you can express what it means to you clearly. At least, all the English teachers I've had are pretty lenient so long as they can see you've put effort into it.
