[ He remains quiet, tapping his fingertip against the maroon cover of the laptop, trying to think through what just happened. He's angry that this man, Kristoph's supposed brother, is going out of his way to accuse Mr. Gavin of being a murderer. Something tugs at the back of his mind, wondering if what he's saying is the truth...

but it can't be. Kristoph's never done anything to make Apollo believe he's capable of murder, let alone doing anything to hurt him personally.

Letting out a sigh, he pushes a hand through his hair before setting the laptop down on the couch. ]

I'm fine, Mr. Edgeworth.

...

[ Edgeworth doesn't reply to it. He only has Klavier's word to go on and without a reason of doubt, he trusts the younger prosecutor.

That, and what he saw in that one particular curse day, where he was Klavier's relative, makes it even more difficult to not believe him. However, he needs to be neutral here, for the while. ]

I'm sorry this has come up at all.

[ He looks over at the boy in concern. ]

There's just one thing I'd like to know from you, Mr. Justice. If you will not mind. It's... unrelated to this, somewhat, but...

[ He sighs then, looking to a side where a picture of Phoenix and him at the airport when Edgeworth was leaving for France is sitting on a table. ]

Wright and Kristoph Gavin... do you know how long they'd have known each other, from the time you've been working for your teacher?

[ In light of the conversation he just had with the other Prosecutor, Apollo's none-too-happy to be grilled for information now. And as such, he crosses his arms and gives Edgeworth a long look, tapping a fingertip against his elbow. ]

Why does it matter?

[ In his mind, Apollo sees no reason to cop to this kind of information. It's superfluous. It's unnecessary. And if there's someone coming around accusing his mentor of being a murderer, then Apollo would rather keep to the subjects that would either bring this truth to light, or crush it completely. ]

Think of it, Mr. Justice. Would Phoenix Wright be friends with a murderer?

[ He's not a prosecutor for nothing. And the fact that he's bringing this up at all is to see whether or whether not Apollo has any idea that Phoenix Wright himself, had his suspicions of this man, as well as the fact that this might help him decide what point in time he is from exactly.

And more than that, he's also trying to assure himself that Apollo too, is a victim here, and not an accomplice. Because as it stands, anyone else in his position would have seen fit to think of him as one, after knowing what they have just learned. ]
