Hmm...A City curse, I take it? That's the only thing possible that would stop you from coming into the office.

The thought of coming in as I am is rather unprofessional in itself, Mr. Nein. I have my work on my laptop and--a--aaa--aa--CHOO!!

Shall I take care of your work as well then? After all, I'm in a productive mood today, and I don't wish for matters to fall behind.

Are you heading home to rest? It sounds like you're under the weather as well, Mr. Edgeworth.

I'm fine, Mr. Nein. Inhaling the rain accidentally is causing the sneezing, nothing more. My hands are free from it, so I can continue working.

I've sent you an e-mail from a client about a theft case. I'd like you to look into that, if you're done with the reports on the last case.

[ooc; NPC case, bwaha. :D ]

[Phoenix isn't about to let Edgeworth run around with a thunderstorm hanging over his head. In fact, he's spent a lot of the day looking for him. And because he knows Edgeworth fairly well, even after this long, he finds him. He doesn't say anything when he creeps up behind him - just unfolds an umbrella over his head, hoping to stop the stream.]

Hi.

[ He's seated at a bench near Xanadu, his entire body soaked but he's got important work to finish and he isn't going to allow himself to be set back a day when he has an assignment. At the sudden disappearance of the rain, which causes a surprised crack of thunder above him, Edgeworth blinks in surprise and turns his gaze up, only to see--

Well, damn. His expression becomes hesitant, before the rain actually picks up around them and he moves a hand up to hold the umbrella to urge Phoenix not to. ]

You'll get wet, Wright.

[ It's been a couple of days since they've actually had a decent conversation. Even when talking to Maya, they spoke to her, and not each other. ]

A little water never hurt anyone.

[He shrugs at that, and leaves the umbrella where it belongs.]

Don't you need both hands to do your work?

You don't plan on standing there the entire time, do you?

[ Lowering his hand, he turns his gaze away and looks over at his laptop as the e-mail he was sending to one of his investigators goes through and he moves his hand to the touchpad to close the window, as the clouds above them rumble and the shower continues. ]

Was there something you wanted?

[ He's not intending to be cold to him, Edgeworth's never one to think of himself first after all. Asking after what others might want comes first. ]

( D-Do I sound sick...? )

I have a raincloud over my head and I'm inhaling rain, Justice. I'd think the correct conclusion would be that I am, in all likeliness, drowning.

Eh... um... If you have a cloud raining over your head it's probably because of negative feelings.

( Grrk!! )

Stress can often do that. Are you cursed?
