Tea is garbage. Slow acting caffeine is a waste.

And what would you prefer in place of them, then?

[Machi, being naturally curious, slips into Edgeworth's apartment, looking for his friend. Of course, he gravitates toward the piano.]

Is... is a basket?

[...and then it mews...]

Is... a kitten?

Mr. Edgeworth!

[ And of course, he's present there, near the door. His arms folded, he's watching Machi with a hint of amusement. ]

Won't you help your new friend in, Machi? He's been waiting for you for a while.

Mine... for me?

[As if frightened, he reaches forward to pet the kitten on the head. When the kitten responds well, he picks the cat up and cradles it. The kitten wiggles and crawls up his arm.]

He's soft!

I'd imagine someone like him being so, or he would not be very fun to hold, hm?

[ He pulls away from where he's standing, coming up closer. Edgeworth's more of a dog person but when he saw this kitten, he was reminded of Machi, and figured it would be a good gift to give.

Giving him a puppy may have reminded him of Kitaki, after all. ]

He's very friendly, isn't he? I seems like he likes you already.

That really depends on the tea.

I'm certain people would know not to make poor choices for their taste. I was merely curious as to how people favored it being served.

... I understood the question. I just meant that I take different teas different. Herbal teas I prefer plain and red teas with a bit of milk.

Why the curiosity?

I see. That's rather interesting. Not many people who favor red and black teas like herbal teas equally.

Heh. A colleague of mine asked a similar question based on people's coffee tastes, and he does not favor tea. It made me curious as to how many people felt similarly.

I'm glad that I could be of assistance to you, Mr. Edgeworth. As for your other question, I'm not much of a tea drinker. When I do drink it though, I prefer herbal types, like green and chamomile.

The piano...I stated this before, but one day, I would not mind hearing you play a piece.

Herbal... those are certainly nice to have with meals, actually. Or at least, as a preference of my own.

Ah... there hasn't been much time to pursue my playing lately. But as soon as I can, I most certainly shall. Wouldn't want to get rusty, after all. It would be very nice to have you as my audience then, Mr. Nein.

Really? I seem to prefer drinking tea at night, but then again, to each his own. I'm no expert, but have you looked into some of the local tea shops around the city? There's one in particular that I can highly recommend to you.

And by "some" she means "a lot". lyra_of_dust August 29 2008, 05:07:36 UTC
Um.. For black teas? With just a little milk and some sugar.

Someone of your age, favoring just "a little" of those, Miss Lyra?

[ HE TOTALLY SEES THAT XD Because he liked milk tea as a kid too. Still does xD ]

Well... A little more than a little, I guess. But there's got to be some tea in it.

Heh. As I expected. I suppose that says something then.
