When they're ready to leave, Obito convinces his Sensei to buy and free Kakashi, who then returns with them to Konoha.

And there they find the results of the Sannin's human experiments.

When their Sensei, the 4th Hokage, sacrifices his life to seal the Kyuubi away, they promise to raise Naruto themselves. This proves difficult since none of them really know how to care for a child, plus they have missions and a new Sensei. What makes it even more difficult is that their new Sensei is Orochimaru.

Then one day, Obito learns something amazing. The body they found was not Kakashi. It was a clone that was created in a lab and was never alive to begin with. The real Kakashi is out there somewhere, alive. Sadly, Obito can't get anyone to believe him.
36. After someone hurts Kakashi in a terrible way, Obito decides to come back to the living world as a ghost to teach the attackers a lesson.

Kakashi is the Persocom he's had his whole life and who he refuses to sell. Obito and Kakashi stumble across Yuuko's shop, where they wish for a place to belong. In the Naruto world, Kakashi and Obito are Chuunin on a mission that quickly goes south and are captured, tortured, and are on the verge of death. They both, although they don't realize anything will come of it, agree that they'd do anything to get out of this alive. Yuuko grants the wishes, merging the two sets of Obito and Kakashi. Now they have to deal with suddenly having two sets of memories, two sets of skills and Kakashi suddenly having a mostly robotic body. Mostly healed thanks to the merger, they manage to escape and try to figure out what to do now and if they should tell anyone about their new circumstances.

Kakashi broke the law when he healed a barely alive and unconscious Obito after the Uchiha was crushed. While everyone is thankful that Obito survived, that doesn't change the fact that Kakashi broke the law.
106. Crossover with Harry Potter. Kakashi and Obito get sent back in time and meet the founders of Hogwarts. While trying to find a way to get the ninja home, the Founders take Kakashi and Obito on as students. Eventually, they manage to create a spell that will send Kakashi and Obito to the correct time but not the correct place. Kakashi and Obito land in modern Hogwarts and meet Harry Potter.
107. "I want to show you something." That was all Kakashi said before pulling Obito into the cemetery. "Kakashi, why does that tombstone have your name on it?"

15. Some days, when dealing with Kakashi it was better to just smile and nod.

Obito is dreading the upcoming shopping spree but figures it won't be so bad as long as Kakashi has to suffer as well. Surprisingly, though, Kakashi likes shopping almost as much as he likes training. Poor, poor Obito.

It becomes an obsession of his, trying to prove that his best friend did not kill himself. Rin and Sensei think he should accept what happened because it was beginning to effect his work. Then one day, Obito learns something amazing. The body they found was not Kakashi. It was a clone that was created in a lab and was never alive to begin with. The real Kakashi is out there somewhere, alive. Sadly, Obito can't get anyone to believe him.
36. After someone hurts Kakashi in a terrible way, Obito decides to come back to the living world as a ghost to teach the attackers a lesson.

In the Naruto world, Kakashi and Obito are Chuunin on a mission that quickly goes south and are captured, tortured, and are on the verge of death. They both, although they don't realize anything will come of it, agree that they'd do anything to get out of this alive. Yuuko grants the wishes, merging the two sets of Obito and Kakashi. Now they have to deal with suddenly having two sets of memories, two sets of skills and Kakashi suddenly having a mostly robotic body. Obito treats his wounds and thinking it wouldn't be a good idea to return Kakashi to the water in his condition, sneaks him back to Konoha and he hides him in an unused pool in an overgrown area of the Uchiha district. As Kakashi heals, Obito grows to love him and decides to keep him but Kakashi, while having a certain fondness for his human rescuer, longs to return home to the sea. Meanwhile, Minato and Rin wonder why Obito has been so distracted lately. Note: I know it's similar to # 81. Just think of this as the extended version.
96. AU. Uchiha Obito somehow manages to bring his favorite book character, Hatake Kakashi, to life.

Only the Kage know which clans are Gods. Gods have a rule that when fighting humans, they are only allowed to use human magic (Jutsu) and when healing humans, while allowed to use their Godly powers, they are only permitted to if the patient or the patient's family gives consent. Kakashi broke the law when he healed a barely alive and unconscious Obito after the Uchiha was crushed. While everyone is thankful that Obito survived, that doesn't change the fact that Kakashi broke the law.
106. Crossover with Harry Potter. Kakashi and Obito get sent back in time and meet the founders of Hogwarts. While trying to find a way to get the ninja home, the Founders take Kakashi and Obito on as students. Eventually, they manage to create a spell that will send Kakashi and Obito to the correct time but not the correct place. Kakashi and Obito land in modern Hogwarts and meet Harry Potter.
107. "I want to show you something." That was all Kakashi said before pulling Obito into the cemetery. "Kakashi, why does that tombstone have your name on it?"

What's weird is that Minato and Rin (and everyone else) seems to think Kakashi has always been part of the team. Obito confronts him and is shocked at the answer he receives: "You summoned me."
