i am totally proud of you for making it through three days. i miss you a lot too, and i'm sorry that i haven't been able to chat a whole lot. soon, i promise. send me pictures!

fitting in...sigh. noone appreciates wit in spain. a frenchman on the subway yesterday told me that i looked like a clown and my roommate is such a frat boy. we do not get along well. he tells me these horrible stories: getting into a fistfight with a goat, keeping his dead dog in his freezer, and being so drunk that he crawled into bed naked with his parents. i have now decided that i can no longer drink with him otherwise, i suspect, bad things will happen.

oh dear, the kid seems like a winner, but let's be optimistic here. At least, you will always have an interesting story. How do you always find these people?
