Besides being the showrunner on Doctor Who, the BBC have entrusted Stephen Moffat with the task of bringing Sherlock Holmes back to television. Sherlock, Moffat’s new iteration of the oft-told adventures of the great detective, moves the character into the modern age, with Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role and Martin Freeman as Watson. Digital Spy got the exclusive on the first look at Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as the detective duo. Sherlock has no airdate as yet, it’s rumoured it will air before the end of the year.
