(Hi. My name is Madeleine...and I'm a movie trailer addict.)

I was sick a few weeks ago and I spent a lot of time on Apple watching movie trailers.

The one I'm looking forward to is The Lookout with Matthew Goode. (And the semi-well known, very awesome American actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt.) I've only seen Matthew in movies where he was totally ( Read more... )

"...you should probably take everything they write there with a grain of salt."

Yes, a grain of salt written in ALL CAPS followed by twenty-seven exclamation points!!!!! that looks like it is wallpapered in vomit.

I skipped Blood and Chocolate in the theaters, despite the presence of two of my most favorite talented sqeemen, Hugh Dancy and Bryan Dick, but I probably won't be able to resist when it comes out on DVD. I have a feeling it's one of those movies that, were I still a 13-year-old girl who believed that the meaning of life could be discovered in Joy Division lyrics, I would think it was the best movie ever.

I remember reading the book when I was about 13 and not being terribly impressed. The movie is tempting for Hugh (and Olivier Martinez) and the possible gothic photography but...not that tempting.

Well, I'm sure I'll have alcohol involved to numb the pain. Best case scenario as far as I'm concerned is that it really is as dreadful as most critics are saying. I've got a rather unhealthy obsession with watching truly, truly bad films.

B&C might be good for the camp factor, though.

I'm only going to see it on DVD for Bryan, though. *squee* *squee* *squee*

You forgot Amazing Grace!! It's coming out in the US on the 23rd and stars Ioan Gruffudd!!! Yay!!!

I'm so psyched...the commercial had him AND pretty ships again! Even though actually, it's all about abolishing slavery in Britain.

Ioan's still considered obscure? Huh. Anyway, I was only looking at the Apple trailers and Amazing Grace isn't on that site.

However, IMDB claims it also stars Rufus Sewell so maybe I will check it out after all.
