Can I just say: Andrew Scott - amazing in The Vertical Hour. I hadn't seen him in anything else but the Royal Court bar (and maybe an episode of My Life in Film with Kris Marshall buried deep inside my memory) before the play but he was really, really good. Hehe, my local film critic, Steve Persall, got Rafe and Tom Hollander confused! They're both in A Good Year, soon to be on dvd-yay!, and he wrote that it was Spall's character who joins Crowe in France. I was so disappointed on reading that and so pleased that he got it wrong when I watched it.

Rafe's dad is an awesome actor, too!

There was not enough Rafe in Dracula for my liking, but I thought that Tom Burke was likeable and totally cute. Actually, in my opinion, he was the only likeable thing about it; I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed. Even my beloved PoirotDavid Suchet wasn't up to snuff.

There is supposed to be something charismatic and SEDUCTIVE about Dracula, and all I could think was "this man needs a BATH."

I was REALLY upset about the show last night.

I thought Dracula was very mediocre (which I'm sure is grammatically impossible) but I really did like Tom Burke in it. Nice to see him in a "good guy" role. (I've only seen him in Casanova.)
