Anyone out there in ElJay Land know how to vector an existing image?

Let's say I have a .jpg that I need to vector so I can re-size without loosing much in resolution.

I'm using Photoshop CS2.

graphics, help

See? I didn't even see the resize option. I'm thinking I need about 2 pots of coffee and 24 hours with this program.

Thanks!

Live Trace in CS2 (Object -> Live Trace) can create vector images from raster originals. I've used it with some success for that purpose. The results depend largely on the complexity of the original image, and exactly what results you're shooting for.

Adjusting the tracing options has usually allowed me to make a workable vector image from a non-vector original, which I could then tweak as needed. I've used this tool with sections of raster originals, as well as entire non-vector originals with varying degrees of success.
As usual: YMMV.

And I neglected to mention that this is when using Illustrator CS2. Illustrator has the tool, not Photoshop.
