The most boring speech I've ever seen him do. Though I do think he just won over every senior and if this gets publicized the middle class should like what he wants to do.
This is a huge blow to Republicans. They can't bash Obama for being a tax rasing liberal any more. But with $50-80 billion less in revenue how he's going to pay for UHC and other programs, I do not know.
Well, I wasn't riveted either, but economic policy is so not my bag. I've never made enough money to actually owe income tax, so it's not really an issue for me. What's important is to talk sensibly about these issues and get an advantage over Edwards and his ridiculous pandering. I was under the impression that various things would be paid for by pulling out of Iraq and rolling back Bush's tax cuts for the rich, but I'm sure they'll put up another Issues tab at the official site about this soon.
