It makes sense that NC would become a battleground state. The population is shifting younger, there's a significant Black population (and Hispanic, I imagine), there are several college cities, and the financial sector in Charlotte is probably trembling in fear.
I keep hoping that if Democrats can make gains in NC, VA, Atlanta GA and it's suburbs, and parts of FL, then at least the conservative Democrats in the Southeast will have a chance to change their state politics.
It does make sense. I'm glad it's not just voters who see this happening- it's nice to be validated in a way by the media who is responding to the changing demographics and especially pointing out that disparity between the campaigns and the amount of time spent in states like NC and VA.
