My heart really goes out to this poor woman. Palin, for all her faults, is keeping a child who will always have problems. McCain would have thrown it over the fence, or something. All the Republican lectures on morals and values and no one says boo about a philandering jackass who abandons an injured wife and their children. How the heck is he sucking people into his web? I don't get it. If people are going to get all worked up about marriage being 'redefined', why don't they give a shit about it being respected as it is, by those who have entered into it?

I have always felt bad for Carol. I personally can not understand not standing by someone you love. She did stand behind him, wait for, loved him while he was a POW.

I posted it on a couple of other forums and got my head chewed off. Apparently it was ok for him (after all, he had just returned from being a POW), but not Edwards.
