Aging

I'm seriously scared of getting older. I look pretty similar to my paternal grandmother so I have a hint of how I'll age. I'm not liking it. I don't want to be old and wrinkly, have boobs that hit the ground or the hurdle of menopause. Puberty was hard enough, then there was second puberty which was a task (when I turned 20 I woke up 2 cup sizes ( Read more... )

I would not worry too much about aging. You well spend too much time doing so. Just because you look like your grandmother does not mean you well age like her. There are MANY factors that one needs to consider. Her life was a little harder after all, she lived through a time were there was a real concern that the world was going to be destroyed.
Your young.
Dont worry about age.

I'm not really too worried about it... I know I've done it several times before and I'll continue to do it many more times to come :-) Yeah Reincarnation :p

advice when i was 12 from a woman in her 80's she told me never to look ahead in your future and worry about when your old. The time flies and before you know it you ask how did this happen. She then told me never avoid risking anything and regretting it in your twilight.
I loved her with all my heart. I am now 43 and have made many mistakes but I view it as it happened and move on.

I haven't seen you in a while, but the thing I remember about you is how young and playful you were. Your body may age, but don't let it change your attitude.

Sometimes I get anxious when I think about the future, but I try to remind myself to live in the moment.

Have you ever heard of a gal named Jeanne Louise Calment? She was born in 1875. Saw the Eiffel Tower being built and met Van Gogh when she was working in a French paint shop as a teenager. There's a picture of her still looking and living like a frisky playgirl in the 1930s...when she was in her 60s! She took up fencing when she was 85, biked around Europe until she was 100. She just died in the 90's - at the age of 122. Oldest confirmed person in recorded history.

Now, it should be pretty clear from this that age as a number really doesn't mean diddly-squat. All that really means anything is how healthy and energetic you are and how much passion you approach life with. Who would YOU see as younger - a 60-year old who still looks and acts young, or a 25-year old who's already in awful shape, miserable and looks like crap!
