So this year the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is doing a Film Noir series over the summer. Last year they did all the Oscar nominated films of 1939 and I had the great pleasure of seeing Gone with the Wind and the Wizard of Oz on the big screen in a packed theater just like those films are meant to be seen. Just got home from a screening of Mary and Max. It was an absolutely charming, funny and emotional film. It's by a great filmmaker, Adam Elliot. He was on hand at the screening to do a Q&A, which was neat. I believe the movie will be available as a Video on Demand through IFC, I definitely recommend watching it if you can find it.
