Dec 31, 2007 23:59

I'm starting this list late--July 25. I'll see how many of this year's books I can remember.

  1. Peter, Paul, and Mary Magdalene: The Followers of Jesus in History and Legend (Paper) by Bart D. Ehrman. IP Page 130/285
  2. The Lost Gospel of Judas Iscariot (Paper) by Bart D. Ehrman. IP 88/198
  3. Lost (Paper) by Gregory Maguire. IP Page 120/339
  4. Good Omens: ( Read more... )

Well, I count my books, whether read with my eyes or my ears. ;-)

Yes, they've been pretty interesting. They are more rooted in modern day than the Harry Potter series. They don't seem to have the same depth as the Harry Potter books. There are fewer characters, namely about 7 heroes total and a handful of villains in each book. I picked them up because my son had read and enjoyed them.

Do you buy your audio books? or is there some place to check them out? I'm disappointed that our library doesn't carry the Harry Potter series in audio format.

I get most of them from the Santa Clara County Library. Backups are San Jose City Library and Santa Clara City Library.

I'm surprised your system doesn't carry them. The county system ended up buying something like 27 copies of the CD and 7 copies of the cassette to cover 7 branches plus bookmobile. There are 110 people waiting for a the cassette version and 255 waiting for the CDs!

Hello, this is random, but I was wondering if perhaps you'd be able to help me? Do you happen to know how long each chapter is for Deathly Hallows? My boyfriend is trying to break up his audio into the seperate chapters, but he's not sure how long they're suppose to be and he can't find out anywhere on the net. I was searching on the net for any listings, and didn't find them but I did stumble upon you saying you were listening to the audios. I don't know if they tell you individual chapters or not but I thought I'd ask.

Thanks for any help

There is no consitant length for chapters or tracks. The tracks seem to vary from about just over two minutes to just under five.
