I've been trying to think of something non-threatening to express... and I just keep coming back to: that woman is a bitcah.

If they have such a problem with everything then a) the husband shouldn't have applied for the job in the first place and b) if there are complaints, or issues that need resolving, HE should be the one to be dealing with them.

People are so obstinate sometimes, and so self-serving, it's sad. I'm sorry you had to deal with this woman who clearly has issues that in no way relate to you :(
