"I always cry at endings."

Dec 02, 2009 00:13

Well I finished Dragon Age: Origins last night. It wasn't quite the chocolate boxes and roses ending I'd hoped for (there are twelve different endings) and some decisions I had to make near the end actually made me feel sick. There were sleepless nights, people, and EMOTIONS!

Anyway, for the four people on my flist playing DA:O, here is my ending ( Read more... )

dragon age: origins, flashforward, fangirl crush, merlin

Angsty game is angsty! I love the way you write about games, it always makes me want to play them too!

I totally know what you mean about being thought of as an airhead. I can be ditzy sometimes, true, but I can geek with the boys any time! Fortunately, things aren't so bad in medicine now. Trying to be a female doctor a few decades ago must have been horrible. Even now, people ask what I'm going to do about my career when I have babies! Do not want.

I miss you, sweetheart! xxx

Ahh thank you! I can't believe you read it, bless you! I'm so caught up in this game, honestly. I just got suckered in by the LotR style plot and the wonderful romance!

Yes, I agree, it must have been terrible to be a female doctor a while ago, I imagine it's still hard now, especially if you're dealing with patients/doctors from older generations.

I miss you too, honey. Thanks again for the comment, even though I was rambling about games. ♥

Yay for finishing Dragon Age! And I'm in a similar boat. Let's just say I could not bring myself to make Alistair sleep with Morrigan; I was like "HECK NO" when she proposed it and didn't even bring it up with him. Suffice it to say, that turned out HORRIBLY. I'm not sure if you want me to spoiler another ending, so I'll leave it at that. I've never cried so hard at the end of a game, though, let me say, and I had to go back and reload before the Landsmeet. I made Alistair King and then myself Queen, haha! And accepted Morrigan's ritual (after trying it like four times and each time I got a little farther before I chickened out and was like "AHHH, I CAN'T DO THIS" XD), and ended up getting as close to a 'happily ever after' ending as I could ( ... )

Just before I got to the Morrigan part I decided to look up the possible endings I could have with Alistair, because I knew I couldn't cope with a bad ending :(, not after 70 hours of gameplay. So I can imagine the ending that you got DDDDDDD:, but thank you so much for being thoughtful! I seriously hated making him sleep with Morrigan, it broke my heart. I'm a little sad that I didn't marry Alistair, but as I said, I liked the idea that we could go off adventuring together! I should have married him really, seeing as that was my only chance as a Human Noble character ( ... )

Eeek! That episode wasn't played here yet(!?) and I accidentally read the first line. I'm so careless. O_o

Oh well, the episode's going to be here in two days.

OMG! I'm so, so, sorry D: D: D:, we've always been a few days behind you up until now, or I would've been a little bit more like "NO, SERIOUSLY, THERE ARE SPOILERS!"

DDDDDDDDD:

That's so weird. Has there been a hiatus for a week or something? Ours have been running for ten weeks straight.

Nope, not your fault. You couldn't have known we had a week hiatus (which we did. It wasn't there last week)... and by tomorrow, I'll have forgotten about it. ;)

That's so odd! Usually there's some kind of rule stipulating that we can't see an episode before you guys!

I'm going to miss it whilst it's off-air :(

I loved this game, I seriously loved it. It's the feeling that Bioware really cared about their female audience and actually wrote characters for them. You can say that again. Or I can just hit ctrl+v. ;) But YES YES YES. THIS. You nailed it on the head. I liked KOTOR, but there were still some glitchy parts where they'd say "he" instead of "she". Funny how those three letter pronouns make a huge difference with the way one feels. Also, I didn't get into it too much, because I wasn't interested in the characters that you could romance. But yeah! I already went on how happy I was with how Bioware made me feel like they care about the girls, who like girls demographic ( ... )

I did have some glitches in the Alienage towards the end, I kept on being called 'sir,' but it didn't bother me too much on the whole. I only felt a little bit put out...seeing as the rest of the game was so well done for the ladies!

I had that problem with Mass Effect, I just wasn't into Kaiden really...he was a bit blank. But Alistair was clearly written with girls in mind. I'm so incredibly pleased that you felt this game catered for you too and that Leliana was what you wanted in a character. Speaking as a girl who likes boys and, to a lesser extent, girls, I would've gone for Morrigan out of the two (if she was a romance option!) I guess I just like the snark! I would've still ended up with a broken heart during the ritual. I'm cursed! Come on Zev, run away with me to Antiva and take me away from all this misery! XD ( ... )

I'm playing through Mass Effect now, and Kaiden reminds me way too much of Carth. They both really were blank. I romanced Carth, then went evil at the very end and make him run off swearing that he'd be back try to bring me back to the light side because I hated him so much. I would have rather have been able to romance Bastila, not only was she the most developed character (and has a sexy British accent) but you know the drama that happens with her later on in the game when she gets kidnapped would have made the game a lot more enjoyable to me if I was emotionally invested in her ( ... )

Yes, my friend MarcusJordan said exactly the same thing about Carth and Kaiden. I never played KotOR...but Christ, Kaiden is dull, so if he's anything as bad as him...:/. Fandom still seems to love Carth though, as I've been delving through Bioware fanart and stuff. Whyyyy? Hooray for sexy British accents though. I must do a voice post! :D

I really need to play through Mass Effect again before the sequel appears. I only got about halfway through it first time. I accidentally had sex with the blue chick, I didn't even know what was happening. I don't know what I did!

Yeah, I usually play a good character, I help everyone and do every menial task I can find. Morrigan disapproved of everything I did XD, but winning her over in the end was amazing...even if she did screw me over :(. Hahaha, this Morrigan art made me laugh. It's appropriate I promise ( ... )

Ahhh your icon! ♥

I know! All the way through I was wondering why I was getting though it so quickly! But I just couldn't slow down. Oh God, I wonder if you mean The Fade? I seriously hated that, I was nearly in tears I was so frustrated!

Can't wait to fangirl with you some more!
