Red Bird, Yellow Bird, Black Bird.

I swear I'm going to work on some fanart soon, specifically the fanart I promised you all way back when (or Merlin fanart? What say you?) I thought I'd just upload some collages I made recently, hooray for having a scanner again :D. They're both paper collages, with ribbon details tidied up in photoshop. Oh and some origami!

Those are fabulous! I'm like in love with those birds. (I'm becoming kind of a bird person, anyway!) Besides, Matthew? From Sandman? That is just the epitome of awesome. He's one of my favorite characters in the series, anyway. In fact, I almost wrote him into that cross-over fic!

Thank you so much! I really enjoyed making them. God, I love Matthew too, he's so amazing in the comics! I wasn't going to include him in this post at all, I'm so glad I did :D. Thanks again. x

Thank you! I love Matthew in the series! Haha, yes, I think he looks friendly and smug here...it's a very knowing look! It's all to do with how the pupil of the stick on eye fell, I think!

You cut up a copy of Mr Pink-Whistle to achieve these, so I approve. (I would have done anyway as they are awesome and I love your collage style, but still!)

Ha ha haaaaa! Oh, you rule for noticing that! Yes, I buy up old children's books from charity shops to sacrifice at the altar of craft. I like the illustrations and I end up using the text as backgrounds. I definitely had a few Mr. Pink-Whistle books when I was a child, man, he just looks like a paedo now...I can't use any of the illustrations for fear of prosecution D:. "I was making a picture, yer Honour, I didn't mean no 'arm!"

That's such an awesome idea - using children's books, I mean.

Mr Pink-Whistle was a total creep and a meddling bastard to boot. I bet whenever he wasn't interfering in people's lives he was writing to Points of View or the local paper, you know?

"I was making a picture, yer Honour, I didn't mean no 'arm!"

Well, it beats "researching my book". XD

Oh God, I love the idea of him writing to Points of View. Wasn't it on Points of View that Terry Wogan showed all his manbits in tight trousers...and actually caused people to write in about the show? I hope that's true, my memory fails me and I may have made that situation up.

lol @ "researching my book" - this was exactly what I was thinking. You're right, Pink-Whistle was a meddling bastard. And what kind of a name is Pink-Whistle anyway? It sounds pretty suspect for me. A euphemism if ever I heard one.

Thank you so much.

Oh, you don't have to beg at all! I really want to draw it, I just feel bad that I promised everyone their own individual pictures D:, but I will do that at some point...I was just ill in December when I had booked lots of time off work and planned to do it! Merlin first though, I think ;). Thank you so much for being lovely, I might even have a go tomorrow! :D x

I was about to say, 'omg merlin fanart!' and then i realized that i vastly prefer book fanart, where the characters come out of your mind, to TV/movie fanart, where you're drawing actual people. That's my two cents. I don't know what the original was mine of (good lord that was terrible grammar) since my work computer blocks pictures (boo!) but you're welcome to use it, whatever it is! Oh, it was one of the cards, wasn't it? THE CARDS ARE BRILLIANT! You are also brilliant.

Yes, I know what you mean! I love to see people's interpretations of book characters! And I promise I will definitely draw the Jonathan Strange and Good Omens art that I promised you! I was just ill in December when I meant to do it. Ack!

It was one of the cards, the one with the little bird! And thank you so much, I only made it for you because YOU ARE BRILLIANT TOO! xxx
