Halloween Costume Picspam!

Inspired by my dearest slightlytookish who did a Halloween costumes post a few years ago, I thought I'd do something along similar lines! In England our Halloween costumes are rather limited, vampires, mummies, ghosts...we don't seem to go all out like you wonderful folks over the ocean! It is a beanbag chair! A My Little Pony one, no less! Yeah, I used to love the feel of the beans! I have a more grown up one now, I sit in it all the time to play video games...but it just isn't the same ;__;. I am so nostalgic for the 80s and early 90s that it's gone beyond a joke. No wonder I can sympathise so much with Sebastian Flyte, I just can't bear(haha) to let go of my childhood! I've been thinking so much about the tv shows I used to watch and mainly the continuity links between them with presenters in a studio.

I found this clip from 87 and it's so sweet.

Oh yes, I'd love that! I'm not sure my sewing skills are completely up to scratch though, alas! forest_rose invited me to a LARP set in 1310 and I had such a lovely time. Here was the dress I made with my Mum (neither of us can sew)!

All you need do is make an attempt. Most SCAdians are pretty nice, and will be very helpful in teaching you about it! If you have that dress, use it and go!

Yes, I still have him! He sits on my bed :). He was my favourite until I got Gizmo from Gremlins when I was about 7! He is mucho faded now...and Gizmo is flat from cuddles.

I'm -- well, better now! Our hot water heater broke a few days ago and was only just fixed this afternoon. Thankfully, we have a great neighbour who let us use hers!

I was just reading your post about the Cave show to the spouse, and he got very excited until I reminded him where you live. No falling-off-stage for us! It's good to hear that you've been well (aside from the illness bit -- I had a bad time of that as well last month) and doing all kinds of fun things.

Oh no! Poor you D:, I'm so glad you're sorted now! About fifteen years ago we lost our electricity (all our heating and cooking capabilities!)and water for a week and everywhere was thick with snow. We had to rely on family and friends too. The council supplied water in giant containers in our village, everyone had to go out with buckets. So I sympathise,sweetheart!

Ahh, I'm glad he was excited! I'm sorry to disappoint him though! I'm sure Mr. Cave will tour over there soon. Sorry to hear you've been ill too.
