So, Fallout: New Vegas is out this week and, in anticipation, I decided to spend a few days tying up all the loose ends of Fallout 3. I wasn't expecting to feel so sad, but I’ve loved this game so very much and invested two whole years of my life in it, that now I find I’m reluctant to leave it behind. I have an unopened copy of New Vegas sat atop

Thank you so much, I was feeling really nervous and embarrassed about posting this, it was all so...personal! And silly. But I really got the most out of the game by using my imagination. I guess maybe it's another manifestation of the only child "a game within a game" thing that we were discussing the other week with reference to Charles. :)
I am so excited for you to hear the first character's voice in New Vegas! I wonder if Jim told you (he didn't spot it, does he ever?), or if you already know! I was so excited! I wanted to text you, but it was late. This was me the second I heard the character speak ----> :O and then ----->:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

It's weird, now I'm watching BSG I can see so many similarities! marcusjjordan told me that they'd been heavily influenced by it and it really shows! Even the uniforms are pretty much identical, aren't they? When I first saw Admiral Cain I thought "OMG, it's my Shepard!" But that didn't last for long :-/! Ooh, that's a point, are you playing as Male Shep or Female Shep? I'm curious!
Yeah, Jim isn't interested in Fable III AT ALL! He isn't even going to buy it!
Fallout 3 is amazing. I wasn't sure whether to get you that or Mass Effect at the time! But I thought I'd stick with good old Bioware in the end! The story is great, but the characters don't stick around for long. I think you get out what you put in when it comes to Bethesda games. I invested a lot of silliness and imagination (as you can see!) so it became an all consuming game. It's just unbelievable how much ( ... )

I love your gaming posts, they make me want to play video games myself. I have no idea about how they work at all, but they sound so much fun!
Elliot will definitely succumb to your charms. How could he not? I love your 'happily ever after story' ♥ xxx

I'm so glad I didn't bore you, it was so sweet of you to read this post! Thanks for being nice about Elliot! Haha! He had quite a sad story, he was a medic, drafted in from a hospital, fighting in a war he didn't want to be in. He was convinced that aliens had captured him as payback for his part in the fighting (between America and China). When he woke up he was so upset that he'd lost the rest of his squad, totally blamed himself. ♥
I'm so silly making up that story! But it made me feel better about leaving the game behind. One day you'll have to come over and play! :)

It's not as pretty as Oblivion, I remember thinking, when I first Oblicion, "what's the point in ever going outside, when I can see such beautiful scenery in this game!" Fallout 3 is very brown, but I find that I still see beautiful things, the moon, the stars, the sunset...the Merc in Moira Brown's shop. I find it a much more enjoyable game than Oblivion, I had more of a purpose...and it was all a lot more humorous. :D

You know which NPC was one of my favorites, Willow! (I think that's her name) The one that calls you a tourist out side of the Under World! And the inn keeper of the Under World. I love the gouls.
How do you like New Vegas? I dunno, it just doesn't feel the same...

Oh! Willow was amazing! You're so right. I love ghouls too, they're my favourites!
Yeah, New Vegas hasn't grabbed me in the same way. Not even the soundtrack (although 'Big Iron' is amazing!) and hearing Michael Hogan's voice almost made me explode from joy. I had a break from it whilst I finished Fable III, but I think I'll go back to it tomorrow.
