Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally, Golly What a Day!
Seeing as my first post of the year was a woeful howl at Ten's departure, here is my official Happy New Year post! Thank you for being such great friends in 2009, I don't know what I'd do without you. Here, as requested, are some photos of my Disney's Robin Hood costume!
So, the theme of our small gathering was Childhood Heroes, although this was only decided a couple of days before New Year's Eve when my Doctor Horrible lab coat hadn't arrived. We realised that most of our costumes fitted the theme, if I was Disney's Robin Hood (who truly was my childhood hero!).
So, here we have marcusjjordan as a Ghostbuster. Luckily he avoided a sliming during the evening's festivities, although if he'd been faced with last year's rather unsuccessful jelly, who knows!
Jim as Han Solo. That pose looks a little too well practised to me.
Here I am as Robin Hood. I do have a bushy tail at the back of that costume! I'm pretty proud of those ears, it took me a while to figure out how to make them! Derbyshire County Council paid for my face painting training...and I've used it ONCE at work! Thanks for that, DCC!
Here we have Captain America and The Spirit.
And squeaky_the_pin as everyone's favourite angry pooch, Dogtanian! Here she is recreating the famous apple slicing scene!
Look out for it at 1.20!

Later on we played Rock Band 2. Bass in your face.
"Don't get cocky, kid! This ain't like dusting crops!"
OK, so there are two videos in existence, one of marcusjjordan singing Ghostbusters (which I do not have! Alas!) and one of me singing Hungry Like the Wolf. I wish I'd sung I Fought The Law, but as I said to melisus, hindsight is a wonderful thing. I do not claim to be able to sing and I'm usually a bassist, so this video is hideously embarrassing, but there we go. I'm here to amuse you.

And what picspam in its right mind would be complete without a MySpace angle shot? Huzzah!
So the year hasn't started brilliantly, by the second day of January I'd already managed to lose a Time Lord and smash my favourite ornament into smithereens! The only way is up, right?! This brand new start makes me want to overhaul my journal and my icons...stat! (will sort out Merlin-the-puppy pictures first, never fear!)
