Loved the talk between them. Loved how Arthur was trying to explain how important it was to be king to all the people and Merlin should be protecting more than just him. Loved that Arthur started a rebellion. Great job.

Even as a slave, Arthur can't quite get rid of his sense of duty - he only changed his perspective on what counts as "his people". :P And he hasn't started one yet... >:)

Oi... I can see how Arthur might be anxious to get his Merlin back on track, but really, he also has to understand that relationships and responsibilities shift. But i bet the riot of the slaves will teach MErlin different. *lol*

Fascinating. I've been following both Broken Soul and Primogeniture and very much enjoying both. But I confess Primogeniture had been slightly ahead as my favorite because its very premise is so unique. But with that teaser at the end of this chapter of Arthur about to instigate a slave rebellion, I have to admit Broken Soul just got its own injection of unique plotting. It's a nice touch to follow such a major revelation with the dry final comment about how they should have just had breakfast in the room. I'm looking forward to the next chapters for both.
