[SC17] A Reminiscent Night

It was dark outside the cold window as Kangin closed the curtains and Leeteuk settled into the love-seat of the living room. Kangin pulled out a box from out of the bag and placed it on the low-level table.
"Kangin, we can't eat the cake until the tree's finished." Kangin froze and looked up. "The tree first." Leeteuk insisted.
Kangin sighed and nodded. He pulled out the bags from beside the bare tree and took out the many boxes.
"You brought this on yourself." Leeteuk said simply as he rubbed his eyes, he was tired but he forced himself to stay awake. Kangin noted this and shook his head.
"You can go to sleep." He suggested as he hung the ornaments one by one on the tree.
"Then you'll finish the whole cake without me, something that I know you're more than capable of doing." He replied with a small laugh, Kangin's cheeks reddened as he continued about the tree. Leeteuk leaned further against the chair. "Do we still have the white star?"
"It's hiding in these boxes, somewhere." Kangin furrowed his eyebrows as he dug through them, Leeteuk chuckled. He rose up slightly and slid down to the ground, Kangin reached out to help him but withdrew them quickly.
Leeteuk closed his eyes when Kangin remarked. "It's exactly like how we used to decorate it."
Leeteuk smiled. "You don't have to, you can change it to how you want it to be. It's not as if I would be able to tell the difference otherwise." Leeteuk reasoned as he held his legs to his chest. Kangin looked on in dismay, Leeteuk could sense it. "It's nothing to be sad over, I've moved on."
"You're too nice." Kangin murmured, Leeteuk chuckled.
"Wasn't that what you liked about me?" Leeteuk asked, Kangin coughed as he carefully applied the strings. He continued to glance back occasionally at Leeteuk who looked around aimlessly.
"I'm sure it looks beautiful." Leeteuk commented suddenly, Kangin paused his hand that held the last ornament. Leeteuk's eyes were barely on the tree, his eyes focused on the floor beside him.
Kangin gave a weak smile. "It still needs work."
"Don't say that. Just because I can't see a thing doesn't mean I don't know how hard you tried at least." Leeteuk then furrowed his eyebrows. "You haven't put on the lights have you."
Kangin froze and cursed under his breath as he looked at the nearly finished tree.
Leeteuk shook his head. "You always forget every year." Kangin glanced around when he saw that the box was on top of the desk behind him. He reached for it when it fell on top of him, the lights completely entangled him. "What happened?" Leeteuk asked.
"I can't get them off." Kangin grumbled as he found that the more he pulled, the more knots seemed to appear.
At the thought of Kangin being held hostage by the lights, Leeteuk laughed. "They decided to take revenge."
Kangin narrowed his eyes. "Don't laugh."
Leeteuk continued laughing. "It's impossible not to."
Kangin bit his lip as looked at his current state. "This might be a little difficult."
Leeteuk placed his hands on the ground and felt around, edging closer towards him. He smiled. "Now you can't escape from me." He classic dimpled smile brightening up his face, even his vacant eyes seemed to return just a bit of life within them.
"Why would I want to?" Kangin asked in a teasing manner, mimicking his smile. Leeteuk felt around for Kangin's shoulders and leaned in until he felt their foreheads touch.
"You're giving me that smile again aren't you?" Kangin's smile widened. Leeteuk placed his arms around his shoulders and gave him a chaste kiss on the lips. He murmured with his eyes closed. "I'm glad that's never changed."
Kangin pulled him closer with his restricted arms, enough that Leeteuk was fully against him. "And it won't ever change."

A/N: I'm not particularly sure why I decided to go for a blind Leeteuk. I was going in a whole other direction, it was even a comedy at one point. Yet as I wrote the scene out, I suddenly felt the scene move on its own with him saying "It's beautiful, too bad I can't see a thing." and his eyes just changed.
