Heechul narrowed his eyes as he watched Siwon whisper something in Hankyung's ear. Heechul gestured his fingers from his own eyes to them. "I'm watching you." He warned. Hankyung shook his head as Siwon arched both eyebrows.
Heechul stomped off and Siwon maintained his puzzled expression. "What was that about?" He asked, Hankyung gave a slight shrug.
Siwon noted the glares he had been receiving recently, and though he asked frequently what he did, Heechul was never inclined to answer.
Hankyung confronted him one day when Heechul was particularly scathing to Siwon. "Why have you been acting like that the past few days?"
"If you opened your eyes just a bit maybe you would've realized it." Heechul replied sharply as he crossed him arms, not meeting his eyes as he walked off.
Lately he's been leaving those hinting yet cryptic messages that Hankyung continued to ask what he really meant. Hankyung decided it was better off to just continue how they were and asked him to accompany him through the street shops.
"You have got to be kidding me, four hundreds dollars for a dog?!" Heechul commented. "Then again, Yesung spent just as much on turtles... You should buy a cat instead." He insisted.
"What's so bad about dogs?" Hankyung asked as he played with one inside its cage.
"Its not dogs that are the problem, its the people that buy them." Hankyung furrowed his eyebrows when he looked back. "Obviously cat people are better than dog people." Heechul stated, Hankyung shook his head.
"You have a grudge against my pets?"
"I just have a grudge against you." Heechul corrected. "You're a dog person, its mean you're not loyal."
"But dogs are known to be-" Heechul shushed him. "I don't understand your logic."
"After these many years you should understand and realize that my logic surpasses everyone else's logic." He affirmed as walked off into the streets away from the shop.
Hankyung pondered in thought as he trailed behind him when he looked up in realization. He caught up to him and said. "We're good friends, I won't ever be disloyal."
Heechul's expression changed slightly as he scoffed. "Right... friends." He muttered bitterly, he increased his pace and left behind a baffled Hankyung.
Hankyung returned home one night to find Siwon with his hand under his chin and his fingers on his thigh, knitting his eyebrows in deep thought. Hankyung asked what was wrong when Siwon answered. "Heechul told me 'Don't mess with something that doesn't belong to you.' But I don't know what I touched that belonged to him." He closed his eyes again as he thought about it.
Hankyung sighed, he had had enough. He opened the door to Heechul's room and found him on the bed with his arms over his eyes. "You need to stop being like that with Siwon."
"He deserves it." Heechul claimed.
"What has he done to deserve that? He's a nice person who doesn't-"
Heechul breathed out as he looked from under his arms. "I know, but it doesn't stop him from trying to take something that will belong to me."
"And what has he tried to take from you?" Hankyung asked exasperatedly.
Heechul stayed silent as he rose up from his bed and put on his jacket and left the room. He uttered a quick apology to Siwon and left the apartment. Hankyung put on his own jacket and followed him.
They reached a nearby park when Hankyung called out for him to stop. He pulled on Heechul's shoulders to stop him, Heechul paused briefly as he looked back at him.
Hankyung was surprised by the sudden determination in Heechul's eyes. He gulped a bit before when he opened his mouth to ask-
"You belong to me, or has that never crossed your mind?" Heechul stated as he flipped the hair out of his eyes. Hankyung closed his mouth and blinked a few times. "It seems it really hasn't, never-mind then." He crossed his arms as he tried to walk off again when Hankyung pulled his jacket sleeve. "If you dare stretch that out I'll-"
Hankyung pulled him into a tight hug, enough that Heechul needed to beg him to let him go to breathe properly. When he finally let go of him, Hankyung revealed a cheesy smile on his face. Heechul narrowed his eyes, instantly annoyed. "What?"
Hankyung straightened himself out. "N-nothing." He said a little too cheerfully for Heechul's liking.
Heechul shook his head and looked down at his now wrinkled sleeve. "You ruined my jacket, you owe me one."
Hankyung nodded as he walked beside Heechul. He thought it over before he decided to take the initiative. He reached and grabbed Heechul's shoulder as he pulled him against him as they walked.
"You'll need to apologize to Siwon again." Hankyung reminded, Heechul rolled his eyes.
"Fine, but he better keep his hands off or we will have issues." He warned, Hankyung smiled.
"You're jealous."
"Am not." Heechul tucked his hair behind his ear. "This isn't comfortable at all, just so you know." Heechul said, fighting of a smile that threatened to show. Hankyung merely held him tighter as the two enjoyed their walk.
