"Like sailors we are, who must rebuild their ship upon the open sea, never able to dismantle it in dry dock or to reconstruct it there from the best materials."
-Otto Neurath, "Protocol Sentences"
There is no Archimedian point from which you get to start from a clean slate and rework your life in toto. Any change worth making is usually worth making now, and if you have to wait until you've completely cleared your plate of other things then it'll never get done at all. Neurath's boat applies everywhere.
Also, found my epitaph:
"I am sorry that I have had to leave so many problems unsolved . . . but the world really is rather puzzling and I cannot help it."
-Bertrand Russell, The Philosophy of Logical Atomism
