Are you effing kidding me?

Give me my presents or Santa gets it! Spoilt girl, 13, demands presents or says 'Santa will die... and I'll cook his reindeer'

This does not exactly restore any of my faith in humanity.

real world stuff, christmas

I read about that in the Metro here yesterday. The arrogance of the teenager in question is... remarkable. It reminded me of Gina Yashere's comment on Mock The Week: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkE1s0wfmW0 (It's about 11 minutes in).

An attitude like the one that brat reported in the paper displayed wouldn't have lasted long in my parent's house...

It's completely ridiculous. I'm still floored by it. That attitude would not have lasted long in my parent's house either. Though I guess that applies more to when we were growing up, because now my sister is kind of demanding. However, not anywhere near as bad as that.

That's trashy. Especially since it reads just like some kind of publicity stunt in the same vein as Jerry Springer, etc...

Yup, exactly. I don't understand how so many parents become slaves to their kid's whims. I get that you need to look after your kids and devote time to them, but to indulge everything they could ever want and be scared of what happens if you don't? Ridiculous.

We have Best Buy, but I haven't seen the commercial. Sadly I think the world's just going downhill...
