Not to worry, there's always plenty to do, pretty mucn every weekend! Keep an eye on our calendar, I try to collect everything I can find in the NYC-metro/tri-state area: http://www.nycsteampunk.com/calendar And of course there's always something going on at The Way Station http://waystationbk.blogspot.com/p/whats-happening-at-way-station.html

Understood, but the Bartitsu classes are the thing that interests me the most. I've met Mark Donnelly, He's the fencing Maestro of a good friend of mine. Quite personable for such a lethal fellow. Oh well, mebbe another time....(siiiigh)

Oh, I understand, and sympathize! I wish I didn't live so far from his school in Harrisburg, PA because Mark Donnelly is a wonderful instructor, very patient with beginners, and really enjoys sharing his knowledge. I wish I could get to Elverson but I'm limited by my lack of car (and funds, and our own study group session, not to mention a Russian Martial Art seminar on Saturday as well). I just returned from Manly Arts Day in Hampton where I had the pleasure of learning historic martial arts with Professor Donnelly and his associates Steve Huff and Victor Markland. But we're going to do our best to bring Professor Donnelly to NYC again and he has also offered to advise our study group via Skype, so there will be additional opportunities, I am sure.
