yeah.
it's that whole circle of life thing. it's pretty cool actually. like seasons changing or getting a new house. sure, it sucks while you're going through it but it gets better with time.
You're right, of course. On an intellectual level I understand that perfectly--without the eventuality of loss, love (and life itself) has no meaning. But right here, right now, at this point in my life, it's hard to remember that, so I'm glad I have my friends to remind me.
I'm sorry for your loss(es). But I also want to point out how your two stories dovetail: as memory fades and life passes at one end, memories are made and lives commemorated on the other. One doesn't erase or make up for the other; but it complements the other.
