Not as much color in the North Country as I was expecting. Still lots of green, and with the windy days we have coming, the leaves may fall before changing. Some pretty places. ( photos )
Ooh, definitely pretty places! That's a gorgeous stream. Our colors aren't at peak yet, but they are coming right along. We are also in a cold snap, which I rather like, I must admit. Rikki, too. She hasn't been wiling to walk our long walk for some time. I thought it might have been the fault of the hot sun. Well, yes: we have now walked that walk three days in a row. Lovely.
The colors here are not at peak yet either. Though they are nearby in Lake Placid and Vermont. The big maple in my yard is still green. I love that river in the photos. It meanders throughout the county, mostly east/west and has many waterfalls and tumbles over rock formations. It was also used to run a powerhouse back in the late 1800's. Which is the building you can sort of see in the back of pic one. Yay for Rikki walking the long way! I love fall.
