What's going on, exactly? Are they terrorists, or are they trying to drive Walloons out of a certain area or claim they're not a legitimate people/culture or what?

Yeah, Flamish extremists claim French culture ain't its place in the municipalities around Brussels, where French speakers are majority, but those municipalities are in Flamish territory: that meansthey wouldn't be able to vote for French speaking politicians for example, and other crap like that. Thus Walloons and more generally French speakers from Belgium have to wake up and refuse to obey.

Belgium is too small and too far. But as many European institutions are in Brussels, Europe becomes kinda worried about the situation.

And yes, our Red Rooster is very fierce, it's a schmick symbol. I wish Wallonia was as fierce. I doubt it's really the case currently. :(
