Oooh. Fascinating. I like knowing more about Baraz.

I am also amazed Adam completely misses why Kris is upset.

Yeah, I wouldn't say this chapter represents the highlight of either boy's intelligence. They're a little dim, really.

Thank you, as always, for following along. I hate to leave things in this state, so I will attempt to write more soon even if I do have to go back to school tomorrow.

Oh, no! It's looking hopeful and then it all goes wrong :(
But I like the extra details from Baraz, and Kris talking to him.

Well, I felt like I couldn't hook them up without them hashing a few things out first. So I wouldn't despair too much.

I'm glad you liked Baraz talking to Kris. I think they have a little more in common than either of them would like to admit.

I don't think I've commented yet, but I have really been enjoying this series. You've done a beautiful job of creating this really vibrant world that I can picture perfectly in my head. I'm curious to see how you get them together and if you can find a way to keep them together. They both seem too stubborn by at least half.
And the potential suitor is Stephane? With a french accent? I love that.

You know, I hadn't actually been thinking of Stephane the figure skating as I'm not actually a keen follower of the sport. But he is very pretty so if you'd like to think of this Stephane as looking like the real one, I think that would be a good idea.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments! These boys are pretty stubborn, it is true. And in this world there are a fair number of obstacles to their eventual hookup. But I think they'll work it out eventually.

LOL. We weren't thinking of the same Stephane? That will teach me not to think I'm so clever. He is a very pretty visual, so I think I'll just keep picturing the two of them as looking the same.

guuurrrrllll

I saw your response on my other comment, and believe you me, I understand completely. They DO like to dodge around eachother a bit, don't they? PLus, I often get so distracted by plot, I forget the sex too. Good thing for you your plot is so good; the romance is truely secondary - which is a great compliment! In my opinion, not enough fanfic is written that way.

This chapter was frighteningly hot in and of itself, AND revealed a bit about Baraz and the fae world. Great job, can't wait till the next update!

Heh, thank you! I'm definitely having trouble balancing the plot tension with the sexual tension. I feel like every time I focus on one it's at the expense of the other.

I'm glad you found this section sexy--I actually find sexual tension hotter than sex scenes a lot of the time, so I wasn't in a huge rush to get to the actual sex.

I'm really enjoying this story. Interesting Baraz backstory - he's more complicated than I had thought, and his attitudes towards humans are proving fascinating to excavate. I especially liked seeing Baraz starting to learn to appreciate Kris; that frees me to like him more. ;)

I kind of want Kris to get to do more, though it makes sense at this point for him to be feeling helpless and sidelined, with the investigation not going well and the fey court being alien territory. Loved the wing-cleaning. Mmm, UST.

Also, they are silly insecure boys who should wake up and smell the eternal devotion. Heh.

I hear you on Kris's lack of activity. He has become a little passive and that's a problem. I just didn't want him to be too much the super hero. Originally I did plan for him to basically solve the mystery but then that just didn't work. He's too out of his depth and I thought if I was going to make Adam a prince I had to acknowledge that there'd be other people with who were both competent and had an interest in his safety.

Kristopher will definitely get to play the action hero again though, so he won't be passive forever.

Thanks for taking the time to comment! I am so pleased you decided to give this story a chance.
