*nods* You know, now that I think about it, I can totally see how very very difficult it must be to remain sober in the UK. There seems to be an all pervasive societal conditioning to drinking. Almost any time I hear brits talking for more than a few sentences, one will regale the group with tales of inebriated silliness.
Thanks mate. I managed to remain sober for the evening. For me, it's hard to remain sober in informal social situations. I am mortally afraid of small-talk and social rejection/looking a fool. I was a social success, and that makes me feel good. Still terrifying for the first 20 minutes though. I'm going to do more social things IRL/sober.
