It's cold here, but not as cold as it has been, I was bundled up like the Michelin man yesterday!
I'm having a Yule celebration the Solstice. I'm going to decorate Yule logs, make food with Nathan and go to Anji's for a Solstice meal, then go down to the beach with Anji and the kids for naturey goodness.
Christmas itself I'm going to Anji's to sit around and eat toast and watch the Queens speech and try to ignore the commercialism.
I normally pick a fallen branch up from some woodland, or use one from my mums garden after saying a blessing. Then Nathan and I carve Goddess and seasonal symbols in it. I also normally make a chocolate Yule log and decorate it with twee things like plastic holly berries :-P
It'll be over with soon, oh yes! It's a difficult time for many people, I know it's not just me.
I bought an advent calendar with decent dark chocolate in it, I think it's going to sweeten the bitterness of advent for me. I'm looking forward to the 1st of December now!
I'm totally missing christmas, which is nice. I'm looking forward to avoiding all the capitalism at work and bad television. It's also meaning that I'm just not interested/am subconsciously avoiding all the christmas stuff (except TV adverts, which seem to get to me...)
