I like these tracks post
Idea is that I'll keep posting to this post when I hear something I really like and go 'ooh', instead of writing it all over the place.
Tracks I like:
For Tomorrow - Blur
This track is a bit bowiesque. Also, I really like Blur. Must buy some Blur.
Swamp Song - The Chameleons
Really flipping good track. Moves my heart.
Sorted for E's and Wizz - Pulp
I haven't done much in terms of drugs, but my do I appreciate a good ballad! This song really paints a picture of the night and the morning after the night before.
And this hollow feeling grows and grows and grows and grows,
and you want to phone your mother and say,
"Mother, I can never come home again,
cos I seem to have left an important part of my brain somewhere,
somewhere in a field in Hampshire."
Alright.
Louise - Human League
Another ballad again. The repeated refrain 'as if we were still lovers' just grabs at my heartstrings. (Do I mean refrain or hook here? Whatever.)

I love playing this on my tin whistle. Singing it is good too.

Sexuality - Billy Bragg
This song is not a new discovery for me, but I think it's fab. I <3 Billy Bragg!
Paranoid Android - Radiohead
I really like Radiohead. Some of their stuff is a bit beige, but a lot of it is really high quality.
Everything I've heard so far by She Wants Revenge
Mind Your Own Business - Delta 5
This song is in a minor key and has an interesting monotone quality to it. Like.
Last.fm says this about Delta 5: 'For [a] brief period they challenged Gang of Four as England’s finest political Post Punk outfit. However, where Go4 promulgated a populist/socialist and often anti-military ideology, Delta 5 focused largely on feminist issues. The band were prominent figures in the Rock Against Racism movement.'
I'd like to check them out.

I really like this track, and have liked everything that I've heard so far by She Wants Revenge. Must buy! bought

Goodnight Mr Spaceman - Television Personalities. Really like this track!!!! Rather amusing.
Mockingbird, Wish Me Luck - a band I saw supporting Camera Obscura when I went to see them with mattp. Debut album: Days Come and Go. mockingbirdwishmeluck.se
Vagabonds - New Model Army
Reminiscent (to me anyway) of The Levellers. Dancy dancy folk/rock with nice bit of violin. I quite like New Model Army, but IIRC some of their tracks irritate me.
Moving Pictures - The Cribs
Very cheerful! Jangling/thrashing guitar. Likeylikeylikey :D
I like Birds - Eels
Cheerful song. Reminds me of earwigmc. Like the rhythm, and the way things just stop just before 'birds'. I like the throatiness of the lead singer. I like the jangly cheerfulness of it. I like.... birds.
Happy House - Siouxsie & The Banshees
I love that a song called 'Happy house' is in a minor key, and thus is quite depressing. MUST ACQUIRE.
