What's that bucket?

I failed to correct someone when they she'd me in a new social setting. I feel like a big bucket of trannyfail.

Ah well, T at the end of next month hopefully. It will give me pronouns of steel!

Hm, I'm in a weird mood.

socialising, trangst, trans

Yeah, well I fail at that too. I'm still too scared to use the gents most of the time.

Is it bad that I laughed at trannyfail?

I know a few transgender people, and most of them reach a tolerance level by the end of the day, and generally can't be bothered correcting people after the 50th time. It's hard honey, and not surprising that you let one slip.

I'm really glad you're getting testosterone, I think it'll be really good for you. Are you worried about the whole 'second puberty' thing?

I'm glad you laughed at trannyfail. I laughed too; I often do at my own jokes :p

Your own jokes are the best ones to laugh at! Although I do have the unfortunate knack of laughing so much at the joke I'm telling to someone, that I fall about in hysterics, which tends to make it fall a bit flat :-P

I never corrected people for months, and then I decided "fuck this shit, I'm going to start correcting people," and after the first couple times, it was easier to correct people than not to. So it does get easier. But YMMV.

Yeah, my mileage does vary. I have been correcting people for months, and sometimes it's easy, sometimes it is really not.

I also don't hear very well or pay attention very well, so half the time I'm not even sure whether they said "she" or "he" anyway.

At least we don't live someplace where verbs are conjugated differently based on gender.
