Everything is marvellous... and some stress

I had just come out of the shop and saw a guy dismantling a cardboard box by the re-cycling bin. I asked him if I could have it, and he told me he had just moved in to the area (3 doors from my old/current place) and had *lots* of boxes to spare. So we went to his doorstop and he gave me up to 20 boxes. This is fantastic: I had thought of putting a want ad on Freecycle (not wanting to have to go to lots of different shops on different days asking for their boxes). This is NOT London behaviour. Talking to my neighbours oh my! You can tell I'm moving out of the area ;-)

Another good thing is my cooking skills. Ok, I'm not a particularly experienced cook, but I can scrape together a tasty meal with unpromising-looking ingredients. I'm having rice with a small amount of bacon and various veg. I used bay leaves, salt, chopped garlic, tomato puree and a small tin of chopped tomatoes to flavour it. It tastes good, though it isn't something I'd particularly want to offer a guest.

Less good is that I'm just really feeling the grind of the move. topbit helped me choose a phone/ISP today, which helped, and I banged an email out to my keyworker saying what I needed to do today/tomorrow. So I have some help... what I mainly need is people to chill out with I think. I also think that I should make sure I do the bare minimum of things before I move, but don't stress too much about the minor things.

Edit:

Oh another good thing: I had bought a slice of cake when I went to the shop. I forgot about it cos I had value wine to drink, but after my nap I found cake! What joy surpasses the finding of cake?!
