Every time welfare reform is on the news, I become really anxious for the future. Being on Income Support, Disability Living Allowance, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit helps me be not homeless and destitute. It gives me stability. When I am depressed, I stop washing, hardly move at all, constantly have to be doing something to stop myself ( Read more... )

Well, it's not like you are not working just cuz you are lazy or trying to take advantage...and you do qualify for Disability.

Are there any opportunities over there to work out of your home??

I am too unreliable to work whether from home or otherwise, plus getting back onto benefits after working for a bit and failing would be really difficult. Their proposals are still just proposals.

Yes, the are just proposals. Who knows when/if/how they will ultimately play out...but I can certainly understand your anxiousness about it all.

Wish I could work at home in some way and still make the same or more $$ then I do now...but that's just lazy ass Marty talking. If I didn't have to get up and come into work five days a week, I sure as hell wouldn't. lmao

well i think ive told u that i am similar and also don't take kindly to the constant "claimant bashing" done by Neu-Lab (and the Tories).

It's probably a good idea I don't live in London yet as sometimes I feel like collecting that blood-stained axe that I must own, what with being "mental" and all, and bloody giving the f**king DWP/Cabinet a reason to not want to get claimants into work, or anywhere within crossbow range of them >:$ / :P
