Things to do:

7.30 pm tonight: Sing along a Sound of Music at the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Place just off Leicester Square. Who wants to go with me? I think I'll go on my own if no one wants to come, as I can see it being such fun. It costs £14 though. ETA: I really don't know if I'll go or not. I'm tired and feeling a bit low; it's either ( Read more... )

Hey there... I got a flyer advertising that SPGB Wage Slavery lecture, and am planning to attend. Out of curiosity, how did you hear about it? I guess I might see you there.

The 'things to come' section of Camden New Journal, my local free paper. I'll be the fat person with green hair.

Right back at you: out of curiosity, how did you stumble on this LJ entry?

I got a Google Alert for it, actually. There's a longer story behind it but it might be better to discuss that in person…

Btw it's poll not pole. Pole dancer, poll on musicals.

I was thinking that 14 pounds (LJ won't accept the UK equivalent of $ in comments) is quite a lot for a ticket at an indie cinema, so I figured I could get round to renting a DVD of a musical and inviting people round. Maybe Bugsy Malone would be fun.

Thanks for the IM this morning.

Having people over sounds like a wonderful idea!!

I didn't know Bugsy Malone was a musical! lol Is that the one that had Madonna in it??

I'll be around tonight for IM'ing if you're home and feeling chatty!

No! It is a children's gangster musical with some rather adult themes. Scott Baio and Jodie Foster star. http://imdb.com/title/tt0074256/

I thoroughly recommend it. It is funny, has great songs, and reminds me of my childhood. I didn't shoot child gangsters with splurge guns as a child, I just watched the film ;-)

Yeah, I'll prolly be around tonight.
