Somebody PLEASE write an initiative or measure or something that will stop all the damned prerecorded political calls. I received SEVEN calls Sunday all urging me to vote YES for a measure. SEVEN. I had to field two calls the day before and three on Monday. This is outside of all the calls I've received urging me to vote for such and such candidate ( Read more... )

Time for the DNC list to be what it says it is: a do-not-call list...

*grins* Exactly!

Hello there, stranger! I know I've disappeared off UF, I don't even read it anymore. I think that has more to do with the direction my life went, and not working overnights anymore. *grins*

I'm still awake when it updates, *laughs* I find it very hard to sleep at night, but I'm just doing other things instead of waiting around to fix peoples computers :)

The last I read, you were deliriously happy, I still hope that's true! :)

Happy, happily married, back on UF after a hiatus, and mostly off LJ in favour of Blogger... my new blog is at http://silasincalifornia.blogspot.com and yes, that name for it is accurate; I am in California, and have been for approaching a year now (aside from the weekend in Utah...)

*laughs* I was just in Cali two weeks ago. Oakland/San Fransisco area, we were celebrating my dads 70th birthday. I took him, my brother, my daughter, and myself to the 49'ers/Eagles game, and we managed to hit Fleet Week as well.

I love Fleet week!

I'm so glad to hear your happily, happily married and I'll have to pop over to blogspot sometime. *grins*

I voted against a representative just because his caller was an asshole. And I'm all for the "DO NOT CALL ME WITH ELECTION BS" list. I'd sign it twice.

Yay! Now, how do we balance this. "You have a right to get your message across" with my "I have a right to live my life with your message seven times a day". Sunday, I seriously started exploring harassment options.

*grins widely* When do you not vote for him? I hadn't heard anything about him this year so I was a tad surprised that his name as on the ballot.

My friend's family has cell phones, all of them, and a house phone. The house phone is only there to screen calls; if anyone they know calls them, or if anyone who has anything worth saying needs to call, they call the cell phones. The house phone is literally just for telemarketers who won't take the DNC list, political calls, surveys, and so on.

Their house phone is also on silent. =D

*pokes the goat*

Best thing I ever did was throw myself on the DNC list. But I'm practically being harassed by "telemarketers" for charities now. And their rude to boot. Where's my DNC for charities and politics? ;)
